Inauguration of the Etoile du Nord restaurant by Thierry Marx

The inauguration of the Etoile du Nord by Thierry Marx took place on 15 November 2016 at the Gare du Nord in Paris.

The Michelin-starred chef, along with Michel Pérol and Patrick Ropert (managing director of the SNCF subsidiary Gares & Connexions), passionately shared with us their desire to "rediscover a casual, quality, train station café".

This very personal project values food catering services and will also serve as a training centre, working closely with the Cuisine and Boulangerie Mode d'Emploi(s) training centres created by Thierry Marx.

The restaurant's architect Patrick Bouchain wanted "a restaurant in motion", and within this lively space with innovative architecture, Thierry Marx combines three different worlds:

- LA BRASSERIE on the ground floor, for any time of day—from the morning coffee to a late dinner;

- LE ZINC on the first floor, to enjoy good wine and share gourmet dishes between friends;

- LE FOURNIL to offer all of the expertise of traditional French bakery through sweet and savoury options which can be enjoyed throughout the day.
